I have started playing with chan_mobile for Asterisk 1.4. This is a great add-on for Asterisk. It allows you to use a bluetooth cellphone as a trunk for incomminging and outgoing calls. You can also utilize a bluetooth headset as an extension. (Incomming calls…) Last night I was able to compile chan_mobile for Asterisk 1.4.13 on my Trixbox 2.3 beta box. Once I have FreePBX configured to work smoothly with chan_mobile, I will put together a howto. (I might wait until Trixbox 2.4 is out.) A revision of the chan_skype howto is also coming for the pending Trixbox 2.4 release. Hopefully 2.4 will be released soon.

Kevan,
Thanks for the how to on configuring chan_mobile for Asterisk. It was very nice to make it all the way through without running into problems.
You mention above that you need to get FreePBX configure to work with chan_mobile. Can you post/email what one needs to do in FreePBX? I poked around to see if I could see something that looked right (a trunk called chan_mobile or something) but I’ve struck out. My Asterisk box see my cell phone and connects to it. When I call the cell phone, Asterisk picks up but gives me the following error.
pbx*CLI> module load chan_mobile.so

I’m not sure what to try next.
Thanks.
Hi, nice app you got working on your Trixbox set, congratulations.
I found a chanskype setup tutorial posted by you on geek-pages.com, but I just got my Trixbox running and some download locations and files on your tutorial seem a little bit out of date, could you tell me what I have to change on this tutorial so I can set up chanskype? I already have a try out call code. I underestand that I can receive up to 30 incoming calls through my skype in number??
Thanx and best regards
